Here’s what you need to know about the Zoom! teeth whitening process.

Zoom! Teeth Whitening Procedure

Zoom! teeth whitening is a quick and easy process that can whiten your teeth by several shades after just one application. First, Dr. Busch-Abbate will apply a whitening gel to your teeth. She will then use a special LED lamp to activate the teeth whitening ingredients in the gel.

The teeth whitening gel usually takes effect in about 15 minutes. However, depending on the severity of your tooth discoloration, we may break up your appointment into up to three 15-minute teeth whitening sessions.

During and after your Zoom! whitening appointment, you may feel some minor tooth sensitivity. However, each patient is different. You may have a different pain threshold than a friend or family member who recently had Zoom! teeth whitening. Let our dentist know if you’re experiencing discomfort.

Caring for Your Whiter Smile

To maintain the results of Zoom! teeth whitening, we recommend limiting your intake of staining foods and drinks like coffee, tea, or red wine. You’ll also need to brush your teeth twice a day and floss at least once daily to remove plaque from the surface of your teeth. Over time, plaque hardens into tartar and can make your teeth look yellow again.
