Porcelain Veneers

Dentist In Kalamazoo, MI

Dental veneers are thin porcelain shells that fit over your natural teeth.

They are custom-made to match your surrounding teeth and are a great option for patients who feel self-conscious about their teeth and smile.

Our Kalamazoo dentist provides dental veneers and is always happy to answer any questions you might have about porcelain veneers.

What Can Porcelain Veneers Do?

Porcelain veneers are incredibly durable and resist staining better than natural teeth. They can be used to fix a variety of dental issues, such as:

  • Chipped or cracked teeth
  • Staining that can’t be lifted
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Poorly shaped teeth

While veneers are a great cosmetic dental solution, they’re not for everyone. If you’re curious about porcelain veneers, make an appointment with our dentist to discuss your options.

The Veneers Procedure

There are a few steps to the porcelain veneers process. First, Dr. Busch-Abbate will talk with you about your cosmetic dentistry goals. A model will be made to give you a preview of how your smile will change with your custom veneers.

She will then need to remove a small amount of your natural tooth enamel so the veneers fit flush against the rest of your teeth. This is a minimally invasive procedure. A digital model will be recorded to make the porcelain veneers, and we will place a custom temporary veneer on your tooth while a lab fabricates your permanent ceramic veneers.

Then it’s time for your veneers to be bonded to the front of your teeth. Once the veneers are attached, you should be able to eat, drink, and speak normally again. Veneers are sturdy and can last over a decade with proper care, so you can leave your appointment feeling secure in your new smile.
