SureSmile®

Dentist In Kalamazoo, MI

SureSmile® is a system of orthodontics that uses clear, removable aligner trays to gradually shift your teeth into a new position.

If you’re ever felt self-conscious about crooked teeth, SureSmile can help. Our SureSmile dentist in Kalamazoo is always happy to help her patients transform their smiles.

Benefits of SureSmile

There are many reasons why adults and teenagers would benefit from choosing SureSmile over traditional metal braces, including:

  • Less oral discomfort and mouth sores, due to lack of sharp wires
  • Less risk of cavities or plaque buildup, as aligners can be removed for eating and cleaning
  • A less noticeable appearance, since SureSmile trays are clear and fit snugly over teeth

Please note that not every patient is a candidate for SureSmile. Our SureSmile dentist will let you know what treatment option would work best for your smile.

The SureSmile Process

At your consultation, we will create a 3D model of your teeth. This model will show you what your teeth will look like after the treatment is complete.

If you decide that SureSmile is right for you, the 3D model will be sent off so your aligners can be prepared. In just a few short weeks, you can return to our office to pick up your first set of aligners. You will need to wear your SureSmile aligners for 22 hours per day in order to see results. This means you can remove them while you eat, for cleaning, or even for an important moment like a presentation or a speech.

Every few weeks you will switch to a new set of SureSmile aligners, each one moving your teeth closer to their final position. Our cosmetic dentist will keep track of your progress through check-ins every six to eight weeks.
